Just a couple days ago I shared that a business needs to sell to survive. In uncertain times that can be difficult when you can’t pay for your staff, rent, or have income to continue to advertise.
Below I’ve compiled a set of grants available to small businesses…
Emergency SBA grant of $10,000
According to Forbes, even if your SBA loan was denied you can still access this grant to help with payroll, sick leave, or rent, specifically. It appears, to access this you must apply for an SBA loan first. Please contact your lender for more details.
Michigan Small Business Relief Program
The State of Michigan is providing both grants and loans affected by the coronavirus. These won’t be available until April 1st. Some applications are open now, to see all, click here.
Kalamazoo and other Southwest Michigan counties can apply through Southwest Michigan First.
Facebook Small Business Grants
Yes, that Facebook. The program will offer 30,000 small businesses up to $100 million in cash grants and advertising credits to help with marketing. So far information is limited, but you can sign up for more information.
Google Adwords Grants
Google announced it is investing $800 million to support organizations and small businesses during the Covid crisis. $340 million of it will be distributed as Google Ads to businesses who “have been active advertisers since Jan 1, 2019 and comply with all Google Ads T&Cs”. (source)
